Defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka has demanded millions of pounds in compensation from the Red Devils before agreeing to leave the club. This decision not only shows his determination but also emphasizes the value he brings to the team, making any departure not easy.
According to SunSport, West Ham are ready to accept the £18 million price that MU offered to recruit the English full-back. However, disagreements over salary are causing this deal to be difficult and have not yet reached a final agreement.
Specifically, the Olympic team is having difficulty meeting the salary that Wan-Bissaka wants. The 26-year-old defender is not willing to accept a pay cut at the new club and demands £90,000/week, equivalent to the income he earned when playing for MU.
In addition, Wan-Bissaka’s representative is also asking the Old Trafford team to pay part of the £18 million fee received from West Ham.
Wan-Bissaka’s side insists that he does not want to leave MU. Because he can earn a huge amount of money if he leaves in a transfer next summer.
Meanwhile, MU is determined to sell Wan-Bissaka in this summer’s transfer window and has identified Noussair Mazraoui as an ideal replacement. Many sources say that the “Red Devils” will quickly push the Mazraoui deal to complete it before the summer transfer window closes, creating an opportunity for a promising new start.
Currently, Wan-Bissaka’s contract with MU still has 1 year left. In the 2023/24 season, Wan-Bissaka has 33 appearances for the “Red Devils” in all competitions.
