Victoria Beckham to Feature in Her Own Documentary

Victoria Beckham’s journey from being a member of the iconic 1990s girl group to becoming a fashion industry expert will be chronicled in an upcoming documentary.

On August 21, Netflix announced that the project will include appearances by Victoria Beckham, her family, friends, and colleagues. The film, which is being produced by David Beckham’s Studio 99 and Dorothy St Pictures, currently has no title or release date.

“Though the days of Posh Spice may be behind her, Mrs. Beckham is now on the path to building her own fashion empire. And now, fans will get to see the full story behind it,” Netflix summarized the project. Victoria will be the second member of the Beckham family to have a personal documentary, following David Beckham. She previously appeared in Beckham (2023), where she spent 14 hours sharing insights into her husband’s football career and his rise as a fashion icon under the direction of Fisher Stevens.

Variety praised Victoria as the “breakout star” of the film, particularly for a scene where David Beckham urged her to acknowledge her affluent background, contradicting her earlier claims of being from a working-class family. This moment quickly became a meme across social media platforms.

In addition to Victoria’s documentary, Netflix has announced plans for documentaries on chef Gordon Ramsay, the British band Take That, and the July 7, 2005, London bombings. None of these projects have release dates yet.

Born in 1974, Victoria Beckham rose to fame in the 1990s as a member of the Spice Girls. After leaving the group, she pursued a solo music career, releasing her debut album in 2001. She also served as a guest judge on Project Runway (2008), Germany’s Next Top Model (2009), and American Idol (2010). In 2008, she transitioned into fashion design, launching her own brand, which later expanded into cosmetics and fragrances.

Victoria married footballer David Beckham in 1999 in Ireland. The couple has four children: Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 19, and Harper, 12. The family is well-loved by the public for frequently sharing moments of happiness together.
