Shortly afterward, Scott was reportedly escorted out of detention by an ambulance a few hours following his initial arrest.

French authorities, the incident began when Scott allegedly assaulted a security guard. The guard had intervened to break up a dispute between Scott and his bodyguard. The Paris Prosecutor’s Office released a statement, stating, “I can confirm that on August 9, just after 5 a.m., police were called to the George V Hotel to apprehend the individual known as Travis Scott after he allegedly assaulted a security guard. The guard stepped in to separate the rapper from an altercation with his bodyguard.”

Scott’s team responded to People magazine, sharing, “We are in direct communication with local authorities in Paris to expedite a resolution to this matter and will provide updates as needed.” Individuals close to Scott have indicated that he is expected to be released soon, and sources have confirmed that no injuries were reported.
