On November 2, actress Chloe Grace Moretz publicly came out as gay. Brooklyn Beckham’s former girlfriend made her announcement while expressing her support for Kamala Harris in the U.S. presidential campaign.

On her social media, the actress, born in 1997, wrote, “I voted early for Kamala Harris… As a gay woman, I believe the law must protect the LGBTQ+ community.” Moretz also encouraged her friends and followers to cast their votes.

Moretz’s coming out follows a long period of speculation surrounding her relationship with Kate Harrison. The two were first seen holding hands and sharing a kiss outside a restaurant in California in 2018, and they have continued to attend events together for the past six years. Out of her four older brothers, two identify as gay.
