The US Secret Service is preparing to develop optimal security measures to protect former President Donald Trump when he returns to outdoor campaign activities.
According to the plan, bulletproof glass will be used appropriately with many additional protective measures to ensure absolute safety for Mr. Trump. This move does not reflect the importance of the event but still emphasizes the importance of security facilities for issues related to the entire political leadership of the character.
Wind The Washington Post reported on August 16 that the US Secret Service has just approved former President Donald Trump’s plan to resume outdoor campaigning, after he had to organize indoors after the storm today, July 13.
For the first time, the US Secret Service will develop bulletproof glass to protect the presidential candidate, specifically former President Donald Trump, in outdoor campaign events.
The plan marks a significant improvement over the standard security measures typically used for candidates, according to a confidential official. Previously, bulletproof glass was only used for the president and vice president when necessary at outdoor events, with the Department of Defense legally required to protect the two top leaders.
While the Department of Defense works with the Secret Service to enhance security for leadership positions, it does not provide protection for the presidential candidate. To enhance Mr. Trump’s security, the Secret Service will also add other measures, possibly including the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), although specifics have not been released.
Meanwhile, Mr. Trump continued to cite Vice President Kamala Harris during a press conference at his resort in Bedminster, New Jersey, on August 15.
According to Reuters, during the 80-minute press conference, he criticized Ms. Harris for achieving higher commodity prices during President Joe Biden’s term.
“Ms. Harris just said that solving the problem will be a top priority. But her first day was three years ago. Where was she?”, he wondered.
The recent event created a complicated contrast with Vice President Kamala Harris, who has survived answering questions from members since replacing Mr. Biden as the Democratic leader in late July. Former President Donald Trump’s debate quickly returned to his familiar campaign style, with many controversial statements and speaking for 45 minutes before answering the first question.
During the press conference, Mr. Trump repeatedly criticized Ms. Harris, calling her “not smart”, and rejected advice from Republicans that he should focus on policy instead of personal attacks.
“I think I have the right to make personal attacks,” he asserted. In response, Ms. Harris’s campaign sent out a “media briefing” ahead of the press conference, criticizing Mr. Trump and suggesting that he would continue to spread dangerous lies at public events, particularly at his Bedminster resort.
