Pax Thien ‘Doesn’t Want to Hear from Brad Pitt’
Pax Thien, the Vietnamese-born son of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, reportedly does not want any attention from his father, despite Pitt’s efforts.
According to a source from Daily Mail on July 6, Pax Thien “doesn’t want any well wishes from his suffering father, Brad Pitt.” Meanwhile, an acquaintance of Pitt stated that the actor wishes the family had not been torn apart so he could be aware of his son’s health condition.
Brad Pitt is said to be eager to help Pax in any way possible during his recovery, but there is a “permanent distance” between the father and son. The source mentioned, “Brad Pitt is heartbroken that he cannot be a concerned father when things have reached this point. All he gets is silence when he wants to know exactly what happened to his son.”
Furthermore, the source added that Pax Thien’s accident is unlikely to mend the family. Pax fully supports Angelina Jolie and therefore does not want any remorse from his father. “Brad Pitt hopes everyone can get through the current situation, but the emotions between the three are so bad that their relationship will never be good again,” the source added.
However, another source told Daily Mail that Brad Pitt is not trying to meet Pax. “All Jolie wants is peace, but Pitt tries to fight with her. He blames everyone but himself for the situation he’s in,” the source stated.
More than a week after the accident, Pax Thien, 21, has moved out of the intensive care unit (ICU). Angelina Jolie has been by his side since he was hospitalized. The actress is very grateful for the timely response and care from doctors and rescue staff. His siblings have also visited and supported him. Pax is said to have begun the recovery process and physical therapy.
Pax Thien (birth name: Pham Quang Sang) was born in 2003 in Ho Chi Minh City. In January 2007, Angelina Jolie filed for adoption in Vietnam. The actress completed the adoption process and brought Pax to the U.S. in March of that year. He is close to his mother, often accompanying her on outings, supporting her on film sets, and helping with her business ventures. He was recently seen inviting his mother to eat sushi at a restaurant in Los Angeles on July 12.
According to various sources, Pax does not attend college and currently works as a game artist under the pseudonym Embtto to avoid attention. His works are abstract and created from various materials and media. In addition to his current job, he assists his mother in running the fashion brand Atelier Jolie.
Lola Cavalli, one of the first responders at the scene, told Entertainment Tonight that Jolie’s son suffered a head injury after a collision. She did not see any broken bones or significant blood loss. “However, his mouth was full of blood. When Pax tried to speak, I saw a small stream of blood coming from his mouth,” she added.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, at 5:12 PM on July 29, Pax Thien was not wearing a helmet while riding an electric bicycle and collided with the back of a car waiting at a red light on Los Feliz Boulevard. The driver got out to check on him before rescue teams arrived. Pax was rushed to a nearby hospital after complaining of hip and head pain.
