Since disclosing his condition in 2022, the actor has only appeared in one or two projects per year, instead of multiple films like he did from 2015 to 2019. At the same time, he strives to maintain a healthy lifestyle and keeps a positive attitude. In interviews, he frequently emphasizes the importance of family, friends, and fans who have supported him throughout his career. In December 2022, he remarked: “Reducing my workload has made me think about the kids, how they are growing up, and how quickly everything is changing. I want to sit back and reflect, not rush anymore, just stay still and cherish the life in front of me.” The actor is negotiating to star in a crossover project between the Transformers and GI Joe franchises. The animated film Transformers One—where Hemsworth voices a young Optimus Prime—is set to be released at the end of September.
Regarding his personal life, the artist married model and actress Elsa Pataky in 2010 after three months of dating. The couple now has three children: a daughter, India, 12 years old, and twin sons Sasha and Tristan, 10 years old. Since their marriage, his wife has paused her career to support him. In 2014, the family moved from Los Angeles to Byron Bay, a coastal town in Australia. The artist frequently travels between the two locations to film and care for his family.
