Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach: ‘I’m Grateful for My Husband’
Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach expressed her gratitude for her husband, Jeremy Jauncey, who has consistently supported her career and her decision to delay having children.
On August 17, Pia Wurtzbach shared a series of affectionate photos with her partner from Los Angeles, California. She revealed that they had just enjoyed a wonderful three weeks filled with humorous moments while balancing work and relaxation.
Pia Wurtzbach mentioned that before her pageant career, she had already mapped out a plan to become one of the most sought-after Filipino stars in the international fashion world. “I definitely wouldn’t have achieved this success without Jeremy Jauncey’s support and encouragement. I’m grateful to have a partner who allows me to be busy with flights and achieve my goals,” Pia wrote on Instagram.
According to GMA News, the couple started dating in 2020 and had a private wedding on a private island in Seychelles in March 2023. Due to their work commitments, they often find themselves apart. Pia is busy with fashion activities and brand ambassadorships in Europe and the U.S., while Jeremy Jauncey, who works in the travel sector, frequently travels to different countries. They reunite whenever their schedules allow and explore new destinations together.
In an April article, Philstar reported that some audiences criticized Pia for being selfish for delaying having children, despite being 35 years old. Pia responded that, in her younger years, she was overly concerned with others’ opinions, which caused her distress. Now, she views every mocking comment and negative feedback as motivation to strive and enhance her personal value. According to Philstar, Jeremy Jauncey supports his wife unconditionally, stating there is no pressure regarding children, as long as his wife is happy and healthy.
On Tatler Philippines, Pia praised Jeremy Jauncey as gallant, handsome, and intelligent. “He is the hardest-working and most focused person I’ve ever met. He doesn’t post much about his activities on social media but works tirelessly to advance and grow. I’m very proud of my husband,” Pia said. Previously, Daily Mail named Jeremy Jauncey the “Hottest Male Traveler on Earth.”
Pia Wurtzbach won Miss Philippines and Miss Universe titles in 2015. Before marrying Jeremy Jauncey, she had relationships with Mikhail Varshavski, named “The Sexiest Doctor Alive” by People in 2015, and Marlon Stockinger, a prominent Formula 1 driver from the Philippines. Before her pageant career, she had four other relationships.
Jeremy Jauncey was born in Venezuela, grew up in Scotland, and played professional basketball in New Zealand before establishing himself in New York City. In 2012, he founded the global travel company Beautiful Destinations and later expanded into hotel management, media support, and social media engagement. He also invests in real estate and is a global ambassador for the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
