Mercedes-Maybach SL680 Monogram: Luxury convertible model launched
Mercedes-Maybach, famous for its luxury sedans and SUVs, has now introduced the 2026 SL680 Monogram, a new pinnacle of luxury in the convertible market. This latest model offers a host of special and elegant features that elevate it to a new level of sophistication.
The 2026 Mercedes-Maybach SL680 Monogram has drastic changes in exterior design, offering a choice between two luxurious color themes: Ambience Red or White. At the front, it boasts a large vertical radiator grille illuminated by signature Maybach lighting and a prominent Mercedes emblem on the hood. Additional aesthetic touches include rose gold accents on the headlights, a chrome windshield frame and a choice between 5-spoke or 21-inch multi-spoke Monoblock wheels.
To mark the Maybach edition, the convertible is equipped with a black soft top decorated with an elaborate anthracite Maybach logo. This special design element can be added to the hood, with the top being hand-sanded before the logo is printed on the metal. Other notable exterior updates include special Maybach taillights, a new chrome rear fascia and a new diffuser with signature Maybach exhaust tips.
Inside, the SL680 Monogram is upholstered in exquisite crystal white Nappa leather, covering the door panels, center console and of course the seats. The rear seating area is also covered in Nappa leather, adding to the luxurious atmosphere of the car. Additional interior upgrades include a more refined steering wheel, stainless steel pedals and stainless steel door sills, all of which contribute to an enhanced driving experience.
Under the hood, the Maybach SL680 is equipped with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, producing a powerful 577 horsepower to all four wheels. The vehicle is equipped with standard rear-wheel steering and a 9-speed automatic transmission. Mercedes-Benz claims a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 4.0 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 260 km/h, slightly slower than the AMG SL63.
Designed for maximum comfort, the SL680 Monogram features improved sound insulation, a quieter exhaust system, a retuned softer suspension and a more stable engine mount. These innovations ensure a smooth and quiet driving experience, reflecting the luxury and craftsmanship synonymous with the Mercedes-Maybach brand.
While pricing details of the Mercedes-Maybach SL680 Monogram are yet to be announced, the first units are expected to begin deliveries in the second half of 2025. This new model promises to set a benchmark new to the luxury convertible segment, combining unparalleled comfort with cutting-edge performance.
