Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is exploring the idea of selling his own line of custom-designed T-shirts on Instagram. The tech mogul, known for his once-monotonous wardrobe of gray T-shirts, has been making headlines for his evolving fashion choices over the past year.
Since 2023, Zuckerberg’s transformation from his signature simple gray shirts to more fashionable outfits, including watches and necklaces, has sparked significant buzz on social media. His shift in style has garnered widespread attention, making his wardrobe a trending topic.
T-Shirts With a Personal Touch
During an interview on October 5 with the TikTok channel Pubity, Zuckerberg revealed his plans to possibly sell limited-edition T-shirts he designed himself. The inspiration behind this idea came from a shirt he wore during the Meta Connect event on September 25. The shirt featured the bold phrase “Zuck or Nothing,” which was inspired by a famous quote from the Italian Renaissance figure Cesare Borgia.
“I’m thinking of selling these shirts on my Instagram page as a limited edition,” Zuckerberg said.
Testing Instagram’s In-App Shopping
The Meta CEO added that this venture would also allow him to personally test Instagram’s in-app shopping feature. By becoming a seller, he would gain firsthand experience with the platform’s shopping tools, which Meta has been continuously refining for businesses.
This potential move into fashion aligns with Meta’s broader vision of integrating technology and style. The company has already ventured into the fashion-tech space by launching Ray-Ban smart glasses equipped with advanced features. Now, Zuckerberg is taking it a step further by collaborating with top designers to elevate his personal style.
Partnering With Fashion Designers
Zuckerberg has been consulting with fashion designer Mike Amiri to potentially develop a new clothing line. While there is no confirmation yet on whether this line will be sold to the public, it signals that the Meta chief is taking a more serious interest in the fashion industry.
Recently, Zuckerberg has been spotted in a variety of stylish outfits, signaling a marked departure from his previous casual look. At the Acquired event in September, he sported a custom-designed shirt that featured a Greek phrase meaning “learning through suffering.” His evolving fashion choices reflect a more deliberate effort to craft a distinct image.
