Lizzo, the 36-year-old star behind the hit song “About Damn Time,” has reportedly made an impressive real estate purchase, buying Jeremy Renner’s Hollywood Hills home for $12.4 million.
A Lucrative Sale for Renner
The property was originally purchased by Renner, star of Hawkeye and Mayor of Kingstown, back in 2012 for $4 million. The 53-year-old actor invested around $5.5 million in renovations, transforming the home into a luxurious mansion. Renner put the property on the market for $13 million in August 2023, making a healthy profit from the sale.
Renner’s former mansion is located near Laurel Canyon and offers 6 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, and a sprawling 9,000 square feet of living space. With a built-in recording studio, it’s an ideal residence for a musician like Lizzo, who is known for her musical talents.
In addition to the studio, the home features a home theater, a waterfall pool, and multiple indoor and outdoor living areas that make it the perfect setting for both work and relaxation.
The living room boasts unique wooden ceiling paneling, sliding glass doors, and chandeliers that add a touch of glamour. The kitchen combines a mid-century design with sleek dark cabinetry, stone countertops, and a gas stove that would delight any culinary enthusiast.
Lizzo’s private sanctuary, a bedroom with a balcony and floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors, promises a serene retreat, opening up to the lush, green outdoor space.
Renner’s Decision to Sell
Although Renner had no intention of selling the property, the actor decided to downsize after a near-fatal snowplow accident in early 2023. Reflecting on the change, Renner shared with The Wall Street Journal in August, saying, “I did all of that because I was going to live there for many years. It was meant to be a forever home.”
After the accident, which left him needing to reassess his life, Renner explained, “I need to move on to other things.”
In a heartfelt Instagram post last month, Renner shared his emotions about parting with the house, alongside a childhood photo of his daughter, Ava, now 11. He wrote: “When you sell your childhood home… opening new roads and creating new memories together is always scary, but when the deep love we share is the foundation, we can smoothly go anywhere.”
“I’m grateful and happy to have shared my home with family and friends.”
With her new Hollywood Hills mansion, Lizzo steps into a lavish new chapter of her life, enjoying a property that perfectly complements her lifestyle and musical career.
