Court documents obtained reveal disturbing allegations involving Liam Payne, former One Direction star, and his ex-fiancée Maya Henry. According to the documents, Payne allegedly sent explicit photos and videos of himself, including images of his genitals and clips of him performing “lewd sexual acts,” to Henry and her family.
Explicit Materials and Legal Threats
The accusations, detailed in a cease-and-desist letter filed by Henry’s attorney, claim Liam Payne attempted to involve others in disseminating intimate images of Henry. These claims surfaced just days before Payne’s tragic death on October 16, when he fell from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires. Witnesses reported that the 31-year-old was under the influence of drugs at the time.
Henry’s attorney, Marco A. Crawford, sent the letter on October 9, following a message Henry received from an anonymous woman. The woman claimed Payne had recently contacted her through an iCloud email and asked if she wanted nude photos of his current or former partners.
The woman, who said she had known Payne for years, expressed her discomfort with his unexpected proposal but felt compelled to warn Henry.
In another message, Payne reportedly asked, “Have I ever sent you videos of Maya? Or any of my exes?” The woman added that Payne continued contacting her through various platforms, including iCloud, Snapchat, and multiple phone numbers, even after she cut ties.
Henry Speaks Out
Shocked by these revelations, Henry sought legal assistance. Crawford’s letter warned Payne against further harassment or defamation, stating:
“This letter serves as formal notice that Maya Henry, through retained counsel, will pursue legal action should you violate any laws outlined herein or defame, threaten, harass, or intimidate our client or her family in any manner.”
The letter further stated Payne had 10 business days to respond in writing before legal proceedings would commence.
The cease-and-desist letter reportedly reached Payne weeks before his death. It is unclear if he responded. Seven days after the letter was sent, Payne was found dead with multiple substances in his system.
Following Payne’s passing, Henry opened up about the alleged abuse, claiming Payne continued to harass her post-breakup. In a TikTok video, she revealed:
“Since we broke up, he’s been texting me, blowing up my phone — not just from his number but from multiple numbers, so I never know where it’s coming from. He would create new iCloud accounts just to iMessage me. Every time I see a new account pop up, I think, ‘Here we go again.’”
Henry also alleged that Payne used his struggles with addiction to manipulate her emotionally.
