Lamborghini’s Revuelto supercar, the brand’s first plug-in hybrid model, has created a massive buzz in the luxury car market. Initially, there were doubts about whether the Revuelto would generate significant interest—especially with Lamborghini focusing on newer, more powerful models to eventually replace the legendary Aventador. However, the reality has been quite different, and the Revuelto has become a highly coveted supercar.
Why Is the Lamborghini Revuelto So Popular?
Recently, Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann confirmed that the Revuelto is sold out until 2025. This means that customers eager to own this revolutionary hybrid V12 supercar will have to wait at least three years before they can take delivery.
Winkelmann is confident that the Revuelto has the potential to surpass the Aventador’s sales numbers, which amounted to 11,465 units over its 11-year production run. The Revuelto’s demand is particularly strong in key markets like the United States and other major global regions, showing signs that it may soon eclipse the Aventador as one of Lamborghini’s best-selling models.
Mass Production vs. Limited Edition Supercars: The Revuelto’s Unique Appeal
What’s even more remarkable is that the Revuelto’s high demand is typically seen with limited-edition supercars. For instance, the Lamborghini Sián, which was priced at $3 million (roughly VND 71 billion), was the first hybrid Lamborghini. However, it was produced in extremely limited quantities—only 63 coupes and 19 roadsters.
In contrast, the Revuelto is a mass-production supercar, signaling a significant change in Lamborghini’s strategy. It will also be the first Lamborghini model to exclusively feature a hybrid powertrain, marking the beginning of a new era for the brand. By the end of 2025, all Lamborghini models are expected to feature hybrid technology.
The Revuelto: A Nod to Lamborghini’s Fighting Bull Legacy
As with many of Lamborghini’s famous supercars, the Revuelto is named after a legendary Spanish fighting bull. This particular bull was known for its ferocity in the bullfighting arenas of Barcelona during the 1880s. The name “Revuelto” reflects the bull’s rebellious spirit, and Lamborghini positions this supercar as a revolutionary force in the performance car industry.
Why the Lamborghini Revuelto is the Ultimate Luxury Car
With its striking design, cutting-edge technology, and exclusive hybrid powertrain, the Lamborghini Revuelto has quickly become the most coveted supercar in the luxury market. The combination of performance, style, and scarcity has left wealthy buyers scrambling to secure a spot on the waiting list.
