A former teacher has accused Kanye West of planning to teach students how to shoot guns. The Donda Academy has faced numerous controversies due to the rapper’s decisions.
In an interview with The Sun, Cecilia Hailey, a former teacher, unveiled the dark secrets surrounding the Donda Academy. She revealed that Kanye West intended for the children to learn how to shoot guns and march. Previously, Cecilia Hailey had sued the rapper and her former colleagues for wrongful termination.
Sharing her experience working at the Donda Academy, Cecilia Hailey described the school as a “zoo” where any dissent against Kanye West went unheard. She revealed that there was always security outside the school, but the children were not ensured safety inside.
“He actually wanted the kids to learn to march, to be taught how to carry guns and shoot,” she said. “However, I would never allow my students to learn how to shoot; absolutely not. I think that would never happen if I were still here; it is unacceptable and has nothing to do with education,” she stated.
Cecilia Hailey expressed confusion about what West was thinking when students were as young as 8, 12, or 15 years old.
Moreover, Cecilia Hailey emphasized the issue of bullying. She claimed she witnessed students hiding under tables during altercations, and there was no punishment for misconduct.
However, it has been unable to verify these claims. Currently, both the Donda Academy and Kanye West have not responded to the accusations made by Cecilia Hailey.
In 2022, Kanye West founded the Donda Academy to honor his late mother. Following a series of controversies, the school relocated to the suburbs of Los Angeles, becoming a charity organization named Donda Ray Academy, focusing on basketball, choir, and dance.
