Irish Forward Gains Fame for Resemblance to Megan Fox
Tara Kirk, a forward for Peterborough United, has made headlines after scoring two goals in the season opener, capturing attention with her resemblance to Hollywood star Megan Fox.
Kirk scored twice to help Peterborough United secure a 4-1 victory over Worcester in the FA Women’s National League Division One season opener. She needed only four minutes to score her first goal of the season, finishing with her left foot after a clever move inside the penalty area. Five minutes later, Kirk completed her brace, setting a strong tone for Peterborough’s season.
Starting her football journey at Leicester City when she was just seven years old, Kirk made her debut for the club in a match against Reading in 2019. At the same time, she was called up to the Ireland national team at the age of 16. After joining Peterborough, Kirk scored 19 goals in 31 matches in the 2022-2023 season and 19 goals in 29 matches the previous season. She once described her playing style: “I’m quick, choose good positions in the penalty area, and am hard to predict. However, my main goal on the field is to score.”
Playing for Peterborough is just a part-time job for Kirk. Outside of football, she works in event management and recently graduated from Loughborough University with a degree in business, management, marketing, and retail support services. Previously, Kirk worked as a receptionist at Leicester City and as a server at the Crown Inn pub in Leicestershire.
Beyond her goal-scoring abilities, Kirk’s resemblance to Megan Fox has turned her into a social media sensation, especially after her impressive performances for Peterborough. She currently has over 38,300 followers on Instagram, compared to Megan Fox’s over 21.7 million.
Megan Fox, born in 1986, is known for her sultry image from the movie “Transformers” (2007). She has also appeared as a call girl in “Jonah Hex” and in Rihanna and Eminem’s music video “Love The Way You Lie.” Fox married actor Brian Austin Green in 2010 and has three children. Despite multiple attempts to file for divorce, which were later retracted, her marriage faced issues again in early 2020. Fox publicly started a relationship with rapper Machine Gun Kelly in May 2020 after meeting on the set of “Midnight in the Switchgrass.” They became engaged in January 2022 after more than a year of dating.
