Hong Kong Star Chung Han Dong Shines in Vietnamese Designer Tra Linh’s Gown
Hong Kong singer Chung Han Dong wowed audiences with a stunning gown by Vietnamese designer Tra Linh during her recent concert performance.
At the latest Twins concert on August 6th, the 43-year-old star graced the stage in a strapless yellow gown, accessorized with a tinsel headband. The gown, made from luxurious silk organza, is part of the Camélia collection. It features hundreds of hand-sewn crystals and mirror fragments, a process that took ten artisans several hundred hours to complete.
Chung Han Dong has collaborated with Tra Linh on numerous occasions for her stage outfits. The designer revealed that the artist became interested in her work after seeing the collection showcased at Shanghai Fashion Week in March. Following the show, Chung’s team reached out to commission custom pieces from the designer.
In June, during a concert in Hangzhou, Chung Han Dong wore another one of Tra Linh’s creations from the Pearl of the Far East collection. This strapless mermaid gown featured a 3D corset structure in nude tones, accented with delicate feathers. The dress was meticulously hand-embellished with around 1,000 crystals of various sizes.
In April, the singer turned heads at a concert in Zhengzhou, wearing a short dress inspired by the peacock. The ombre-dyed pastel dress was crafted by ten artisans using specialized dyeing techniques, resulting in a visually striking piece that highlighted her figure.
Born in 1981, Chung Han Dong is a member of the iconic Hong Kong pop duo Twins. In addition to her singing career, she is also an accomplished actress, having starred in films such as The Monkey King, The New Flying Fox of Snowy Mountain, Legend of the Ancient Sword, The Empress of China, and The Princess’s Revenge.
Chung Han Dong experienced a highly publicized marriage to plastic surgeon Lai Hongguo, which ended in divorce in 2020. In an interview with On, the actress mentioned that since becoming single, she has been pursued by younger men, but has yet to find the right match.
Designer Tra Linh, 32, was born in Lam Dong, Vietnam, and founded her high-end bridal fashion brand in 2013. In addition to serving the domestic market, she has expanded her bridal line to the Middle East, Europe, and America. Tra Linh has designed outfits for several renowned celebrities, including Liu Yifei, Fan Bingbing, Mai Davika, Baifern Pimchanok, and Yang Zi.
