Reports surfaced on July 18 that Hadid was arrested for “suspected possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.” The incident occurred on July 10 when Gigi and her friend Leah Nicole McCarthy arrived at Owen Roberts International Airport on a private jet. During a routine customs inspection, officials discovered a small quantity of marijuana along with smoking paraphernalia in their luggage. Both women were detained on suspicions of trafficking but were quickly released on bail.
