Skai Jackson is stepping into a new role in her life.
The 22-year-old former Disney Channel star has announced that she is pregnant and expecting her first child with her boyfriend, whose identity has not yet been revealed.
“I’m so excited to start this new chapter in my life — embracing motherhood and diving into new acting projects. My heart is full of emotions!” she shared in a recent interview with People magazine, published on Tuesday.
Pregnancy Discovery and Legal Incident
Skai Jackson’s pregnancy was first reported in August after an incident where she was arrested for domestic violence. According to reports, Jackson allegedly had an altercation with her partner at Universal CityWalk in Hollywood, California, at that time.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, she pushed her boyfriend but was not charged.
A representative for Jackson stated, “Skai is relieved that the investigation revealed this was just a misunderstanding.”
“We appreciate that the District Attorney quickly determined there would be no charges,” the spokesperson continued. “Skai is looking forward to moving past this.”
Couple’s Announcement
Sources close to the couple, who denied any physical altercation took place, revealed that they are engaged and excitedly expecting a baby together. The future mother was seen covering her belly with a loose sweatshirt over a white tank top and gray shorts.
Jackson is best known for her time on Disney Channel from 2011 to 2018, starring in the hit series “Jessie.” She later lent her voice to “Marvel Rising” and “DreamWorks Dragons: Rescue Riders.”
While the former “Bunk’d” actress has kept her pregnancy mostly private on social media, the star was spotted in a parking lot in Los Angeles in October .
