In a clip from his upcoming Drink Champs interview, DaBaby shared his admiration for Megan and his hopes for a new collaboration. “I got love for Meg. Me and Meg made some dope shit together, and it’s good to see her rise above the obstacles,” he said, referencing Megan’s resilience following her 2020 shooting incident involving Tory Lanez.
A Vision for a Future Collab
DaBaby even proposed a potential track featuring himself, GloRilla, and Megan. “I’m manifesting a song with Glo[Rilla], Meg, and Baby together. I think that’s the way me and Meg should pop back out because I feel like… none of these n-ggas… can really embody that. You gotta come get that shit from Baby.” He ended his message with an affectionate plea, “Come home, baby… you can come get it in.”
Complicated History Between DaBaby and Megan
Despite DaBaby’s enthusiasm, the chances of a reunion seem slim due to the rocky relationship between the two. The tension escalated when DaBaby claimed in his 2022 track “Boogeyman” that he and Megan had been romantically involved, even suggesting they were together the day before her shooting incident with Tory Lanez. This claim surfaced in Lanez’s sentencing memorandum after he was convicted of the assault on Megan. The document read: “During the victim’s performance, the defendant went through security clearance and entered the green room… These areas were within 100 yards of the stage where the victim was performing, in violation of the protective order.” According to the memorandum, Megan was unaware of their presence and did not consent to them being at the venue during her performance.
