Cristiano Ronaldo Dazzles with Diamond Jewelry at Champions League Ceremony
On August 29, Cristiano Ronaldo turned heads at the Champions League group stage draw for the 2024-2025 season, adorned in diamond-studded jewelry as he was honored as the “All-Time Top Scorer in Champions League History.”
The 39-year-old superstar was the center of attention at the event, where he paired a white shirt with a bespoke suit, opting for a more relaxed, youthful look by skipping the tie. Ronaldo sported a single earring featuring a prominent diamond surrounded by over 30 smaller diamonds.
To enhance his outfit further, Ronaldo chose a diamond-studded lapel pin in the shape of a teardrop. He completed his look with a Frank Muller watch encrusted with 600 diamonds on the face, bezel, and strap, a piece he has frequently worn both casually and at events.
On stage, Ronaldo was thrilled to be recognized as the top scorer in Champions League history with 140 goals in 183 matches. He has won the Champions League five times (in 2008, 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2018) and has been the tournament’s top scorer seven times.
Following the ceremony, Ronaldo and his girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez, enjoyed a day on a yacht, taking photos with a commemorative trophy. Rodriguez, a model, opted for a glamorous look with diamond jewelry. On social media, she shared a video of herself pinning a diamond accessory onto Ronaldo’s shirt. The couple, who began dating in 2016, has two children together, Alana Martina and Bella Esmeralda. Rodriguez is well-regarded by Ronaldo’s family for her dedicated care of his three other children.
Before the event, the official UEFA Champions League website garnered 2.5 million likes for a video showing fans clamoring for Ronaldo’s attention outside the venue, asking for autographs and photos. This video was widely shared on Instagram, Facebook, and X, with many viewers praising Ronaldo’s impressive presence.
Currently, Ronaldo is the most influential figure on social media with 637 million followers on Instagram, over 170 million on Facebook, and nearly 113 million on Twitter. He launched his YouTube channel, “UR Cristiano,” on August 21, setting records for the fastest subscription growth on the platform, reaching milestones of 100,000, one million, 10 million, 20 million, 30 million, 40 million, and 50 million subscribers.
Cristiano Ronaldo is currently playing for Al-Nassr FC in Saudi Arabia and is also the captain of the Portugal national team. He is considered one of the greatest players of all time, having won five Ballon d’Or awards (in 2008, 2013, 2014, 2016, and 2017) and holding the world record for most goals scored, with 899 goals in 1,235 matches, according to the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS), excluding club friendlies.
