Actor Channing Tatum and “Batman” star Zoe Kravitz have broken up after three years together due to “increasingly different perspectives.”
“They don’t share the same views and have grown apart,” a source told People on October 30. Meanwhile, Us Weekly cited another source stating that the couple realized they were incompatible after promoting their film Blink Twice: “Ultimately, after the project wrapped up, they didn’t align on their future aspirations.”
Tatum and Kravitz met in 2021 when Zoe invited him to star in her directorial debut. The couple publicly confirmed their relationship that summer and collaborated on the psychological thriller Blink Twice. In October of the previous year, Tatum proposed to Kravitz. The pair appeared close during their film promotion trip in August this year, exchanging praises in interviews.
“Zoe and Channing are opposites in personality but connected through their love for art and film,” the source explained. However, insiders revealed that after the film’s promotion, they began to clash over their future: “The pressure of planning a wedding made them rethink everything.”
Zoe is reportedly very independent and is not keen on marrying again after her divorce from actor Karl Glusman in 2021. In contrast, sources say Tatum is a “family man” who desires a traditional, stable relationship, despite his hesitations about marriage following his first divorce.
“They looked at the bigger picture and realized they might not be compatible,” the source noted. “However, they still love each other, so the breakup was amicable.”
Despite their split, Channing Tatum and Zoe Kravitz will continue to work together as co-stars in the upcoming sci-fi comedy Alpha Gang. Both have remained silent regarding the engagement cancellation news reported earlier this week. The 35-year-old actress seemingly confirmed their breakup by removing her engagement ring a week ago.
Channing Tatum, 44, is an American actor and dancer known for his roles in romantic comedies and dramas, including 21 Jump Street (2012), The Vow (2012), Dear John (2010), and The Lost City (2022). He was married to Jenna Dewan from 2009 to 2018 and has previously dated singer Jessie J. In September, he and his ex-wife Dewan finalized their divorce.
Zoe Kravitz, 35, is the daughter of rock star Lenny Kravitz and actress Lisa Bonet. She began acting in 2007 with supporting roles and made her mark as Angel Salvadore in the X-Men series, as well as playing “Catwoman” in The Batman (2022). In November 2021, she divorced actor Karl Glusman after five years of dating.
