Cardi B has been facing intense backlash online following her recent trip to Paris Fashion Week and her late-night partying with her close friends. Netizens are criticizing the rapper for leaving her one-month-old daughter at home while she enjoys herself with her girl friends.
The online outrage reached a fever pitch when she was spotted partying all night on Saturday at The Stafford Room. Adding fuel to the fire, Cardi B’s estranged husband Offset was also present at the nightclub, although they arrived and left separately.
Taking to Instagram Live, the rapper hit back at the critics and insisted that she is dedicated to her child. She also revealed that she’s been partying with her friends to cope with postpartum depression and to alleviate the pain of her divorce.
“I be with my baby all day…I need to go out,” Cardi B asserted. “I’m going through a divorce right now. If I stay home and f***ing depress myself, that s**t’s gonna drive me crazy. That’s why I’m working, and the weekends, I’m going out with my girls. So, stop. I don’t ever wanna go through a f***ing postpartum depression ever again, and I’m avoiding that
During her Instagram Live, Cardi B shared that her third pregnancy was a walk in the park compared to the others. ‘The baby just slid right out,’ she said. ‘I pushed for seven minutes and felt like I could take on the world. It was totally different from my other pregnancies.’
Cardi B and Offset surprised everyone when they secretly got married in 2017. But after almost seven years, they’ve decided to go their separate ways.
