Busta Rhymes has excited fans by announcing the release of his 12th studio album, set to drop on November 29, 2024. This new project will be his second album in two years, and anticipation is building after the New York rap legend shared the news on his Instagram account.

In his Instagram post on October 23, Busta Rhymes teased the upcoming album with artwork featuring his signature logo and the eyes of a dragon. He wrote, “THE BLESSINGS DON’T STOP SO WE WON’T EVER STOP, EVER!! NEW ALBUM LOADING BY THE DRAGON DROPPING 11.29.24!! JESUS CHRIST!!” The reference to “The Dragon” suggests this album may carry on themes from his past work, potentially linking back to his alter ego or previous projects like The Return of the Dragon (The Abstract Went On Vacation).
While he has yet to reveal the full tracklist or any potential features, fans are eagerly awaiting more details. Given Busta’s history of collaboration, there’s a good chance the album will include contributions from some of the industry’s biggest names.
Busta’s Recent Success
This new album follows closely on the heels of 2023’s Blockbusta, which debuted at number 42 on the Billboard 200 and featured a star-studded lineup, including Chris Brown, Young Thug, Kodak Black, Quavo, and BIA. Production was handled by heavy hitters like Swizz Beatz, Timbaland, and Pharrell, and fans are curious to see who will join him for this latest effort.
Future Plans and Acting Comeback
In addition to his solo work, Busta Rhymes has also hinted at new music with Flipmode Squad, his legendary rap crew, who haven’t released an album in over 25 years. In a March 2024 social media post, Busta teased, “BRAND NEW FLIPMODE SQUAD ALBUM IS COMIN’!! 26YRS LATER!!… ALBUM TITLE COMIN’SOON!!!”
Alongside his music, Busta is also making a return to acting. He’s been cast in the upcoming remake of The Naked Gun, which stars Liam Neeson, Pamela Anderson, and WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. This marks Busta’s first major film role in nearly a decade, after his appearance in the 2016 movie King of the Dancehall.
