Details of the Shooting
According to NBC affiliate KUSA-TV, Reynolds was shot once in the left arm and once in the back of his head but is expected to recover. He is currently on injured reserve due to a broken finger and did not accompany the team for their Thursday night game against the New Orleans Saints on October 17. The shooting took place just hours after the Broncos celebrated their victory against the Saints.
Reynolds Seen During Practice
This week, Reynolds has been seen working out on a side field during Broncos practices. However, as a player on injured reserve, he is not allowed to speak with the media. In his ninth NFL season and first with the Broncos, Reynolds signed a two-year, $9 million contract last offseason. He has played in five games this season, starting one and recording 12 receptions for 183 yards and one touchdown.
Previous Teams and Draft History
Before joining the Broncos, Reynolds played for the Detroit Lions, Tennessee Titans, and Los Angeles Rams, who selected him in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft out of Texas A&M.
As Reynolds recovers from this traumatic incident, the Broncos organization and fans will undoubtedly be keeping a close watch on his progress both on and off the field.
