Audi Q5 2025: The perfect blend of advanced technology and eye-catching design
The all-new 2025 Audi Q5 appears with a refreshed exterior design, new fuel-efficient gasoline and diesel engines and a series of outstanding features. Built on Audi’s premium combustion platform (PPC), the latest Q5 is initially available in the US in standard and high-performance SQ5 variants. Base models are powered by a 268-horsepower 2.0-liter TFSI four-cylinder engine, mated to a 7-speed S-tronic dual-clutch transmission and Audi’s signature Quattro all-wheel drive system.
High performance variants
For those looking for more power, the 2025 SQ5 offers a 3.0-liter TFSI V6 engine that produces 362 horsepower, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive. In Europe, the Q5 line has three engine options, all equipped with a mild hybrid system consisting of a 1.7 kWh battery and a 24 horsepower electric motor that produces 170 lb-ft (230 Nm) of torque.
The entry-level European model is powered by a 2.0-liter TFSI engine with 201 horsepower and 251 lb-ft (340 Nm) of torque, available with front-wheel drive or optional all-wheel drive. European customers can also choose the 2.0-liter TDI diesel engine, which produces 201 horsepower and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque. The European SQ5 shares the same 3.0-liter TFSI V6 engine as the US version but offers even more torque at 406 lb-ft (550 Nm).
Enhanced comfort and handling
Thanks to the new platform, along with improved suspension and steering, Audi claims the 2025 Q5 offers significantly more driving comfort than its predecessor. Standard models come with Frequency Selective Dampers, while adaptive air suspension with adjustable dampers is optional. SQ5 models feature a sportier suspension setup for those who prefer a more dynamic driving experience.
Modern interior with advanced technology
A new interior concept has been applied to the latest generation Q5, although it is not a radical change compared to other existing Audi models. A curved screen houses the 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster and 14.5-inch MMI infotainment screen, while a 10.9-inch screen is also available on the passenger side.
The new Q5 features a simplified flat-bottomed steering wheel as standard, with all HVAC controls integrated into the touchscreen, eliminating physical buttons and switches. Notably, the infotainment system runs on the Android Automotive operating system, providing access to applications such as YouTube. A head-up display is also offered as an option.
Audi has ensured that the Q5’s cabin is more spacious than ever, with multi-adjustable rear seats, including a reclining function. Other interior highlights include a wireless charging pad with cooling feature, two USB-C ports in the front and two ports in the rear, with the latter capable of delivering up to 100W, enough to laptop charger.
Sleek exterior design
Designing an SUV that looks sleek instead of bulky is no small feat, but Audi has achieved it with the 2025 Q5. Smart styling, including elegant curves and refined creases practical, making the Q5 look more compact and sophisticated than it actually is. The exterior also features second-generation digital OLED taillights, which can warn other drivers of accidents and hazards through customizable taillight graphics. At the front, standard Matrix LED headlights with eight adjustable light strips for daytime running lights (DRL) add to the vehicle’s sophisticated appearance.
The 2025 Audi Q5 perfectly balances advanced technology, outstanding amenities and outstanding design, making it a standout choice in the luxury SUV segment.
