Eminem has taken another shot at Benzino on his latest track, “Doomsday Pt. 2,” a collaboration with Lyrical Lemonade. The song sees Eminem revisit their long-standing feud, which originally started in the mid-2000s when the two clashed over Benzino’s role at The Source magazine. In true Slim Shady fashion, the rapper uses sharp wit and biting humor to mock Benzino’s financial troubles and physical appearance.
Eminem’s Lyrical Assault on Benzino
Rapping over a sample of his classic track “Role Model,” Eminem delivers harsh jabs at Benzino, saying:
“Now I got a riddle, one condition, you mustn’t laugh / What is the opposite of Benzino? A giraffe / ‘Go at his neck,’ how the fuck is that? / How can I go at somethin’ he doesn’t have?”
Eminem continues his diss with remarks about Benzino’s alleged debt and rumors about his personal life:
“Sorry, I don’t mean to upset you, Ben / When I talk about all the debt you in / I hear that you been creepin’ on the low / In them cheap hotels, that they catch you in.”
Revisiting an Old Feud
This diss marks the first time Eminem has taken aim at Benzino since their infamous feud in 2003. Back then, Benzino, who was the publisher of The Source, released a diss track targeting Eminem and leaked an old demo where Eminem used a racial slur. The beef seemed to have died down, especially after Benzino claimed in March 2022 that it was over. However, Benzino has continued to take shots at Eminem, criticizing him and his fanbase publicly.
Benzino’s Response to Eminem’s Fans
Benzino has not only thrown jabs at Eminem but also at his fans, calling them “corny” and challenging them on social media. In one X post (formerly Twitter), Benzino lashed out at Eminem’s followers, writing:
“To all you pussy ass Stans, we all know y’all are the most corniest non-violent coward fan base hip hop has ever seen.”
Despite this, Benzino has yet to officially respond to Eminem’s latest diss.
Eminem’s Shoutouts and Legacy
In “Doomsday Pt. 2”, Eminem also gives nods to J. Cole and Dr. Dre’s Aftermath label, reaffirming his loyalty to Aftermath, where his career skyrocketed. The track appears on Lyrical Lemonade’s compilation “All Is Yellow” and is already sparking discussion online as fans wait to see if Benzino will fire back at Slim Shady.
With this new release, Eminem once again proves why he remains a dominant force in the rap industry, unafraid to reignite old rivalries while simultaneously celebrating his musical legacy.
