‘God of Thunder’ Chris Hemsworth Doesn’t Want His Daughter to Enter Acting Too Early
While Chris Hemsworth’s daughter, India Rose, has made a splash with her guest role in the blockbuster Thor: Love and Thunder, the famous actor reveals that he does not want his daughter to rush into the acting field. Although he can take pride in her debut performance, Chris does not wish for India to become a Hollywood star too soon.
Chris Hemsworth admits that India Rose excelled in her role as a young Asgardian in the Marvel film released in 2022. However, the actor does not want his daughter to be in the spotlight immediately. He shares, “That was supposed to be just a super quick moment in the film. I asked, ‘Do you want to do some lines in the movie?’, and my daughter replied, ‘Yes, that’s awesome!’”
Even though India Rose has been recognized as “a beloved professional actress,” Chris emphasizes that he wants her to have a full childhood. He says, “I want her to have a childhood, and I think India likes that too. I’ve told her, ‘There’s plenty of time, my love. Focus on school, ride horses, and play like a child. Because once you get on that moving train, it’s very hard to get off, and you’ll miss out on a lot of things.’”
In addition to India, Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky have two twin sons, Sasha and Tristan, who just celebrated their 9th birthday in March. Both boys also appeared in Thor: Love and Thunder, with one of them playing Young Thor. All three children frequently visit the set of Extraction 2 with their father and have even expressed a desire to participate in the film.
“My kids love Extraction 2,” the actor shared at the film’s premiere last week. “They often come to the set and want to be in front of the camera.”
Chris Hemsworth revealed last year that he has been struggling with a busy career while wanting to be a true father to his three children. “Acting in a movie that confronts death makes me say, ‘Oh God, I’m not ready to go yet,’” he told. Instead, Chris Hemsworth wants to “enjoy family time with a sense of tranquility and gratitude.”
“My kids are growing up while I keep moving from one film to another. Then when they turn 18 and leave home, I will miss those precious moments with them,” Chris confides. His reflections not only demonstrate his love but also his desire to protect his children’s childhood, while affirming the importance of family in his life.
