Chris Hemsworth Admits He Is “Sick of” Playing Thor
Chris Hemsworth, the famous Australian actor, has stirred up buzz by admitting that he has become “sick of” playing the role of Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Hemsworth first took on the role of this superhero in 2011, and since then, he has become a familiar face for fans of superhero films. However, the initial excitement and novelty appear to have been replaced by a sense of saturation in recent times.
In an interview, Hemsworth shared that portraying The God of Thunder no longer brings him the thrill it once did. “I enjoy this experience. Thor 1 and 2 were my personal favorites from Marvel, while 3 and 4 felt quite different,” he stated. Hemsworth feels that there is a need for a change of color and new ideas to make the character more interesting. “I actually got sick of this character fairly quickly after a few years of filming,” he admitted, indicating that he is looking for new challenges in his acting career.
When asked whether he would continue to take on the role of Thor, Hemsworth emphasized that if he does, it must come with a completely different approach. “If I’m going to be Thor again, it has to be totally different,” he noted. The actor believes that something drastic needs to be done to keep audiences engaged. “If not, it’s just the fatigue of the old characters in movies that people will exclaim they have already seen.”
Besides his reflections on the role of Thor, Chris Hemsworth also expressed a desire to explore various projects in the future. He believes that seeking out other work will help him break free from the shadow of The God of Thunder and allow him to showcase his acting talent in the best possible way. Hemsworth hopes that through new roles, he can explore different facets of himself and provide audiences with fresh experiences.
