Robert Pattinson gets special shoutout at Taylor Swift’s London concert as fans spot him in crowd
Hayley Williams from the rock band Paramore gave a special Twilight-themed shoutout to actor Robert Pattinson at the second run of Taylor Swift‘s The Eras Tour in London on August 17.
Paramore is the opening act for Taylor Swift‘s European leg of The Eras Tour. The pop star’s tour is currently having its second run at Wembley Stadium in London on August 15, 16, 17, 19, and 20. Actress and singer Suki Waterhouse was the special guest supporting act on the August 17 show. Robert was supposedly in the audience supporting her, although it has not been confirmed if he was actually there. The two are engaged and have a daughter together.
During Paramore‘s set, the frontwoman dedicated their hit track Decode, which is also from the soundtrack of the popular Twilight movie that Robert starred in. “Suki killed it earlier. But I would like to dedicate this next song to Mr. Waterhouse,” Hayley said to the crowd in a video circulating on X (formerly Twitter). “He has the skin of a killer, Bella. It’s for you, Robert.”
She made a reference to Robert‘s character in the film adaptation of the teen romance vampire book series written by Stephenie Meyer, which were big in the late 2000s to the early 2010s. The 38-year-old played 17-year-old Edward Cullen, the vampire love interest of Bella Swan.
The song Decode was the lead single of the first Twilight movie in the franchise. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The song, which was Grammy-nominated, was also included in the rock band’s third studio album Brand New Eyes, in 2009. Decode made it to No. 33 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and earned Paramore their second top 40 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. It was also an international hit, making it into the top 20 of the singles in Australia, France, and New Zealand.
