Experience the ‘Billionaire Lifestyle’ in a Converted Airplane Apartment
If you’ve ever dreamed of living like a billionaire, your fantasy can come true without breaking the bank by staying in an “apartment” converted from a Boeing 727. This unique Airbnb property, located in Brislington, offers guests the luxury of an airplane experience with the comfort of a high-end home.
The Boeing 727, originally built in 1968 and transformed into a private aircraft in 1981, has been meticulously converted into a lavish living space. The interior, preserved from the time of conversion, includes a king-size bed, sofas, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a hot tub, providing a touch of opulence. Guests can also experience the thrill of being a pilot with access to the fully functional cockpit, where they can sit in the pilot’s seat, flip switches, and pretend to fly the aircraft.
The apartment features three bathrooms, two living areas, and the cockpit experience. The inside of the plane is described as a work of art, decorated with walnut wood, crystal accents, and gold details. The two living areas are equipped with TVs, one area boasting first-class seating, a drink cabinet, and dining table, while the other has a relaxing sofa. The spacious interior includes adjustable heating and a sophisticated lighting system, adding to the unique experience.
This Airbnb requires a minimum stay of two nights at a rate of £300 per night (approximately $375), with additional fees of £50 (about $63) for cleaning and £110 (around $137) for service.
Guests have praised the unique stay, with Lindsay noting, “We will never forget our stay; it’s a unique find.” Although she acknowledged the price is a bit high, she added, “How many chances do you get to stay on a Boeing 727 with luxurious interiors?”
The airplane, minus its wings, is mounted on containers within the secure area of Skyline Park, an innovative industrial center. The Boeing 727 apartment has received excellent reviews, achieving a perfect 5/5 rating on Airbnb.
Visitor Jade described the experience as nostalgic, saying, “It felt like going back to my childhood, playing in the cockpit and pretending to fly.” The furnishings and decor made Jade feel “like a wealthy person on a private plane.”
The entry to the airplane apartment is also a unique experience. Guests need a code to access the security area of Skyline Park, then climb stairs to the outdoor deck, pass by the hot tub and shower, and finally enter the apartment via the airplane steps.
