Japanese Tennis Star Stuns with Bow-Embellished Gear
Naomi Osaka, the former world No. 1 tennis player, captured the audience’s attention with her bow-adorned outfit during her match against Jelena Ostapenko on August 27 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. Osaka wore a striking neon green Nike ensemble that included a tiered dress, jacket, and shoes, all decorated with bows. This match was part of the 2024 US Open, which runs from August 19 to September 9.

After winning the US Open in 2018 and 2020, Osaka is currently ranked 85th in the world. She told Elle, “I don’t mind, as long as the outfit is fashionable. Clothing can be helpful. When you’re confident, you can step onto the court and imagine that you can do anything.”

Her father brought her to Florida to learn tennis at the age of eight. For the tournament, Osaka prepared two outfits—one in green and another in black and white—both featuring large bows, tiered designs, and lace details, reflecting a Lolita and Harajuku-inspired cute style. “I like green because it feels peaceful and serene. For me, black represents strength. Wearing it makes me feel a bit like Black Panther,” she shared with the magazine.
