Two more stars prepare to join Al Nassr: Ronaldo’s potential reunion in the Saudi Pro League
Cristiano Ronaldo may soon have the opportunity to reunite with former teammate Sergio Ramos in the Saudi Pro League. Famous journalist José Félix Díaz revealed that Al Nassr is currently talking to midfielder Sergio Ramos, aiming to bring the experienced star to their team in the near future.
Currently a self-employed player, Sergio Ramos can join Ronaldo at Al Nassr without a transfer fee if the two sides soon reach a mutual agreement.
The second player that Italian journalist Díaz could move to Al Nassr to play on Ronaldo’s side is Rafael Leao.
The AC Milan winger has been approached by Barcelona recently, but Díaz reports that the 25-year-old is about to move to the Saudi Pro League in a deal worth 70 million euros.
After losing in the Supercontinent final, Ronaldo and his teammates entered the field full of determination, aiming for a decisive victory in the opening match of the new season against Al Raed, an underrated team. Under the guidance of coach Luis Castro, Al Nassr dominated the match, controlling 70% of possession and making 31 touches on goal. However, only one of the attempts resulted in a goal – Ronaldo’s accurate first-time shot in the 34th minute, assisted by Sadio Mane.
Unfortunately, right at the beginning of the second half, Aymeric Laporte’s mistake led to a penalty for the home team. From the penalty spot, Mohammed Fouzair took advantage of the opportunity to draw a tie for Al Raed, forcing both teams to divide the points.
With the goal in this match, CR7 had the 898th goal of his career and is now only 2 more goals away from the 900-goal milestone. At the age of 39, Ronaldo continues to exceed all expectations by scoring 50 goals in 48 matches in the Saudi Pro League.
