Reddit Parenting and Memes

Cyrus revealed that Morando uses unconventional methods, like Reddit, to solve everyday problems.
“Honestly, he raised our dogs off Reddit,” she shared. “I was like, ‘Are you sure we should do this?’ And he was like, ‘On Reddit, it says blah, blah, blah.’”

The Flowers singer, a millennial, added that she and Morando, who belongs to Gen Z, often bond over exchanging memes on social media.
“He’s just like me,” Cyrus explained. “We don’t take life too seriously.”

Cyrus praised Morando for introducing her to new artists, noting that they enjoy listening to songs they consider “silly” yet love, like Train’s 2001 hit ‘Drops of Jupiter.’” She revealed that they are also collaborating on her upcoming album, “Something Beautiful.”

Combining Love and Work

For Cyrus, blending personal relationships with professional collaborations isn’t new. She has years of experience working with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, and she highlighted how such partnerships have been pivotal in her life.
“I’ve worked with my dad forever,” she said. “That’s how I met my ex-husband.” This was a nod to her marriage to Liam Hemsworth, which lasted from 2018 to 2020.
“I always work with people I love. And Maxx inspires me a lot.”

A Private Romance

Cyrus and Morando, the drummer of the band Liily, have reportedly been dating since 2021 after being set up on a blind date. Despite their high-profile status, the couple has kept details of their relationship private. However, Morando publicly supported Cyrus when she won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Solo Performance in February.

Shortly after her Grammy win, a source told that the couple had moved in together and were “very happy.”

The duo’s last public appearance was in September, when they attended a Future Islands concert in Los Angeles.
