Britney Spears remains optimistic about rebuilding her relationship with her estranged son, Jayden James Federline, a source exclusively revealed.
“She’s thrilled to have private time and outings together,” the insider shared after the 18-year-old reunited with his mother.
A Long-Awaited Reunion
Jayden recently visited Britney in California following his move to Hawaii in August 2023 with his brother, Sean Preston Federline, 19, and their father, Kevin Federline.
The former backup dancer, 46, relocated to the Aloha State with his family after his wife, Victoria Prince, accepted a position as a volleyball coach at her alma mater, University of Hawaii.
The source described the reunion as “a dream come true” for Britney, adding that she has never stopped loving her sons or hoping to reconnect with them.
“Although they’ve been apart for a long time, Britney never gave up hope of mending her relationship with her boys,” the insider said.
Building a Stronger Bond
The pop star and Jayden’s time together was reportedly “wonderful,” and Britney hopes to continue strengthening their bond.
“She is optimistic about spending more time with both of her sons in the future,” the source said.
Their recent get-together marked the first time Britney had seen Jayden in a while, and it was filled with “lots of talking and laughter.”
“It was an incredibly special moment for Britney to share quality time with her son,” the insider added.
Signs of Reconciliation
The reunion follows a positive step earlier this year when Jayden and Sean Preston reportedly called Britney on Mother’s Day. Kevin Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, previously described the call as “a good sign.”
Kaplan acknowledged in June that reconciliation could be “complex and may take time.” He also emphasized that Kevin, who was married to Britney from 2004 to 2007, supports his sons maintaining a relationship with their mother.
For Britney, reconnecting with her children remains a top priority as she navigates life after her highly publicized conservatorship battle.
