The Boeing Business Jet 777X has officially been launched, marking the arrival of the first-ever business airliner capable of non-stop global travel. This revolutionary aircraft can travel between any two points on Earth without the need for refueling. The exciting announcement was made at the MEBAA trade show in Dubai, strategically chosen as the Middle Eastern private aviation market accounts for 29% of all Boeing Business Jet orders.
Introducing the Boeing BBJ 777X: Luxury and Performance Combined
The Boeing 777X is the highly anticipated VIP version of Boeing’s largest and longest-range twin-engine aircraft, the Boeing 777, which typically accommodates up to 425 passengers. Custom-built to meet the exact needs of private and corporate buyers, the BBJ 777X is sold with unfinished interiors that can be tailored by luxury design firms like Jet Aviation, Greenpoint Technologies, or Unique Aircraft Design. Buyers can expect to pay an additional $100 million for these bespoke interiors. At the MEBAA trade show, design experts unveiled three stunning luxury cabin concepts, featuring elegant master suites with private dressing rooms, spacious bathrooms, plush lounges, a private cinema, and even a Turkish-style steam bath.
BBJ 777X Models – BBJ 777-8 vs. BBJ 777-9
One of the standout features of the BBJ 777X is its innovative super-long wings with retractable wingtips. These advanced wings allow the aircraft to achieve higher initial cruise altitudes, further extending its range. Additionally, they ensure that the BBJ 777X can still fit into airport gates and ground facilities designed for earlier Boeing models.
Debut and Availability
The Boeing 777-9 is expected to make its debut in late 2020, with the BBJ 777-8 following soon after in early 2021.
