Ryan Reynolds is celebrating the release of Deadpool & Wolverine on Disney+ by sharing a hilarious deleted scene.
On Tuesday, November 12, four months after the Marvel film premiered in theaters—breaking box office records—Reynolds marked its streaming debut by posting a never-before-seen clip on his Instagram Stories and X account.
The Deleted Scene
The clip opens with Deadpool (Reynolds) and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) surrounded by various Deadpool variants, as Peter (Rob Delaney) appears on screen.
One version of Deadpool says, “My Peter gave me a sense of belonging when no one else could do that.” This is immediately followed by a chorus of other variants shouting, “Get lost!” and, “Go back to Canada, a——!” Meanwhile, Wolverine watches on, shaking his head slowly.
Reynolds and Jackman have long shared a close friendship. In a recent interview tied to the release of Deadpool & Wolverine, Jackman spoke about their bond, saying:
“Since I’ve known you, especially in the past five or ten years, we’ve had more time to take walks together. You’re an incredible listener. I can tell you anything, and you never make me feel judged or pressured to take your advice. That’s been key for me.”
Reynolds echoed the sentiment:
“I’m always rooting for you. I want you to win. I feel the same way about Blake [Lively]—we support each other fully, and that’s why we’re so connected.”
Upcoming Projects
Earlier this month, Reynolds revealed on the Variety Awards Circuit podcast that he’s working on a new non-Marvel film. The project will reunite him with Jackman and Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy.
Ryan Reynolds stars as Deadpool/Wade Wilson and Hugh Jackman reprises his role as Wolverine/Logan in Deadpool & Wolverine.
With Reynolds teasing new projects and their shared dynamic captivating audiences worldwide, it’s clear that their partnership has only just begun. Fans can look forward to more unforgettable moments, both in Marvel films and beyond.
