Selena Gomez couldn’t contain her admiration for boyfriend Benny Blanco after he was featured in People’s highly anticipated Sexiest Man Alive 2024 issue.

“You love me unconditionally… and you always get me the Mexican Pizza from Taco Bell,” the Emilia Perez star, 32, wrote on her Instagram Story Monday, sharing a photo of the 36-year-old music producer from the People photoshoot.
In the shot, Blanco is seen lying on a dining table, dressed in a sleek black suit, barefoot, as he unveils a silver platter.
In another Instagram Story, Gomez quoted a romantic line for Blanco:
“I still don’t know how to sit across from you, and not be madly in love with everything you do.”
While Blanco appeared in the special issue, he didn’t claim the top title of Sexiest Man Alive, which will be unveiled Tuesday night on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Still, the producer gave fans insight into how he keeps Gomez smitten.
“I [always] put in the effort for every date,”. “It’s not about draining your bank account. It’s about paying attention and really listening.”
The author of Open Wide: A Cookbook for Friends shared that cooking is one of his secret weapons.
“Even if you’re terrible at cooking, [your partner] will love it because you made it,” he advised. “Ask them what they want to eat. Don’t make them what you want. If you don’t know how to cook it — learn.”

Blanco’s other tips for amping up the romance? Create memorable first date experiences, dress confidently, give thoughtful gifts, and prioritize self-care — even though he admits he doesn’t shower daily.
“I’m a clean guy, but I don’t shower every day,” he revealed. “Some people shower two or three times a day, but I feel like your skin’s oils need time to rejuvenate and stay luscious.”
Despite Gomez’s glowing endorsement, social media users have been divided about Blanco’s inclusion in the People issue.
“Benny Blanco and ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ should never be in the same sentence,” one critic wrote on X, garnering over 100,000 likes.
“I wake up every day, look in the mirror, and ask, ‘How did this happen?’ But until someone calls me out, it’s just hilarious!” he joked during an interview on Today with Hoda & Jenna in May.
Gomez and Blanco, who began dating in 2023, seem unbothered by the skepticism. The Only Murders in the Building star previously shared with Vanity Fair that she’s never experienced love like this before.
“I’ve never been loved this way,” Gomez said in her September interview. “He’s just a light. A full light in my life. He’s my best friend. I love telling him everything.”
