At the recent D23 entertainment event, Disney officially announced the most anticipated animated project: “Frozen 3”. The event, which took place from August 9 to 11 in the US, brought fans hot news about the sequel to this hit animated film. Witnessed by more than 12,000 spectators at the D23 event, Disney made a strong impression with a series of updates on the company’s film and television projects. Disney announces a series of new animation projects at the D23 event
At the D23 event held from August 9 to 11, Disney brought a big shock to fans with updates on many new animation projects. Among the outstanding projects, “Frozen 3” attracted special attention with concept art revealing the appearance of the two characters Elsa and Anna. This project, written by Britney Lee, is expected to be released in theaters in 2027, continuing the story from part 2 of the hit series.
“The Incredibles 3” is also confirmed to be in production. Pixar has greenlit this film, with Brad Bird returning as writer and director. The first two installments of the series have grossed over $1.8 billion worldwide, and the third installment promises to not disappoint.
In addition, “Toy Story 5” is expected to be released in the summer of 2026, continuing the journey of Woody and Buzz Lightyear under the direction of Andrew Stanton.
“Hoppers” is Pixar’s new animated project, directed by Daniel Chong, scheduled for release in early 2026. The film tells the story of a girl whose mind is transferred to the body of a beaver and the challenges she faces.
Finally, “Hunter 2” will return on November 26, 2025, continuing the adventures of Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde in a new case.
“Dream Productions” will be Pixar’s first television project, set between parts 1 and 2 of “Inside Out”, and is expected to debut on Disney+ in 2025.
