Nicki Minaj has continued her public feud with JAY-Z, recently escalating her attacks to include Steve Stoute, the renowned music business executive. In an extended rant on X (formerly Twitter), Minaj unloaded her frustrations regarding the aftermath of the sale of TIDAL, the streaming platform co-founded by JAY-Z. Minaj previously stated that she was offered only $1 million from the deal, which she rejected, claiming it was a “scam” aimed at silencing her.
Alleged Scams and Unpaid Royalties
In a series of tweets, Nicki shared the details of the TIDAL sale, where she claimed that she had been offered a million dollars to stay quiet about the deal. “I received a call advising TIDAL was sold & they made no money on the deal so all they could offer me was a million dollars… I HAD TO SIGN THE AGREEMENT IN 24 HOURS IF I WANTED THE 1MM,” she wrote. She described rejecting the offer, emphasizing that she did not need the “hush money.” She then thanked her fans for supporting her and added, “I love you. But I was scammed.”
Nicki also commented on an article about the alleged $8.9 million payout to TIDAL’s co-owners, including Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Kanye West, joking about her image being included in the report. She accused certain blogs of spreading misinformation and laughed off attempts to manipulate the public’s perception.
Attacks on Stoute and JAY-Z
Nicki’s tirade was not limited to TIDAL. She took aim at Steve Stoute, calling out his recent claims about her missing out on money from the TIDAL deal due to her failure to sign a contract. She reposted a tweet from a fan who connected Stoute’s claim to an alleged contract issue with Cam’ron and Ma$e, adding, “1st time hearing about this. All allegedly tho.”
She further questioned the motives behind the ongoing attention on her, writing, “They gotta keep the conversation on me so that no one asks about these charges against their BFF.” Minaj implied that some men in the industry deflect attention from their own wrongdoings by focusing on her.
A Direct Hit at Stoute
Nicki then took her rhetoric to another level, directly addressing Stoute, calling him names like “Short & stout DIK,” and accusing him of being complicit in abusive situations involving R. Kelly and other famous figures. She also criticized Stoute for allegedly siding with JAY-Z and his circle, stating, “Yall seemed to always run in a sorta… RAT PACK.”
She concluded by offering a $10 million reward to anyone willing to confront the issues she raised in a fair fight, stating, “If any of those 4 cunts I named would like to shoot the fair one w/a GANGSTER, I’ll run the winner of the fight 10 million dollars.”
