Mike Tyson’s fight earnings are only half of what Jake Paul will make.
On the morning of November 16, at the AT&T Stadium in Texas (USA), boxing legend Mike Tyson will face off against Jake Paul – a YouTuber and “amateur boxer” 31 years his junior. This bout has attracted attention not only because of the significant age gap, but also due to the disparity in fight earnings and other income between Tyson and Paul. However, the exact amount both will earn remains a “secret,” as there has been no confirmation from either side.
In late March, media outlets reported that UFC star Henry Cejudo, who is close to Tyson, claimed the boxing legend might receive around 20 million dollars. Last month, on the “Jimmy Kimmel Live” show on ABC, host Jimmy Kimmel hinted that Tyson would earn at least 20 million dollars from this fight. However, this figure is modest compared to the nearly half a billion dollars Tyson earned during his peak career. Tyson recently also shared that “money isn’t the issue” because he is doing well financially through his cannabis business – a brand he co-founded, which generated an estimated 150 million dollars in 2023, thanks to the legalization of marijuana in many U.S. states.
During a press conference on August 18 to promote the fight, Jake Paul confidently stated he would earn 40 million dollars and “knock out the legend.” This means Paul could receive double Tyson’s earnings from the event, which will be streamed exclusively on Netflix on November 16. Given the current appeal and influence of both Tyson and Paul, a 40-20 split seems unsurprising.
An Elite Experience with Tickets for the Tyson – Paul Fight:
