Model Amber Rose recently accused singer Beyoncé of copying her speech at an event supporting Vice President Kamala Harris in Houston.
Amber Rose accused Beyoncé of copying her speech
On October 26, Amber Rose posted on her social media, “She wants to be me that badly. She literally took my entire speech.” The post followed Beyoncé’s appearance at a Harris campaign event the day before. According to Page Six, both speeches highlighted the importance of motherhood and the impact on voting. In her October 25 speech, Beyoncé stated: “I’m not here as a celebrity or a politician. I’m here as a mother who cares about the world our children are growing up in—a place where we have the freedom to control our own bodies, and aren’t divided by the past, present, or future. Imagine our daughters growing up seeing what’s possible.”
In July at the Republican National Convention (RNC), Amber Rose introduced herself as a mother, saying, “My whole world revolves around raising my kids, keeping them safe, and giving them the chance for a good life. That’s what connects parents across America, whether Republican, Democrat, Conservative, or Liberal. We all want a better country for our children.”
It appears that Beyoncé isn’t concerned about the accusations at all
On Instagram, many users criticized Rose’s actions. Comments included, “Sorry, Beyoncé doesn’t even care about you,” “Apparently, Amber’s the only mother in the world,” and “It’s not just Beyoncé; I think every mother thinks about her children during election season.” On the other hand, some fans expressed disappointment that Beyoncé left the Harris campaign event without performing.
Beyoncé, 43, attended Kamala Harris’s campaign event on October 25, marking her ongoing support for Harris’s campaign. She previously allowed Harris’s team to use her music in the campaign. In July, Beyoncé agreed to let Harris’s team use the song “Freedom” during an appearance at her campaign headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware, and the song was also used in Wisconsin at a subsequent campaign stop.
Beyoncé is one of the world’s most successful artists, with over 100 million records sold globally. Throughout her career, she has won numerous awards, including Grammys, Billboard, MTV, and American Music Awards. Forbes twice named her the most powerful woman in entertainment in 2015 and 2017. Beyoncé has a record 32 Grammy wins, spanning her work with Destiny’s Child, The Carters (with her husband, Jay-Z), and her solo career. Married to Jay-Z since 2008, the couple has three children—12-year-old Blue Ivy and 6-year-old twins Rumi and Sir.
Amber Rose, 41, is an American model who gained attention starring in Young Jeezy’s music video “Put On,” featuring Kanye West.
