David and Victoria Beckham recently shared their pride as Brooklyn Beckham launched his hot sauce brand. On October 4, the former soccer icon and his wife, fashion designer Victoria Beckham, took to Instagram, posting photos with Brooklyn, his wife Nicola Peltz, and his younger brother Romeo Beckham at the brand’s launch event held at Whole Foods Market in the UK. The event was a family affair, with Brooklyn’s grandmother Sandra Beckham and aunt Joanne Beckham in attendance, along with Nicola’s brother, actor William Peltz, who also showed his support.
He is so proud to see his dream come true
Under the post, David expressed his joy, writing, “You’ve worked hard on this project, and we’re so proud of you.” Victoria added, “I’m so proud to see your dream come true. You poured your heart into this project, and I genuinely love your product.”
Nicola Peltz also took to Instagram to celebrate Brooklyn’s new accomplishment. She shared a series of photos, writing, “You put your whole heart into Cloud 23, and I’m thrilled to see people enjoying it.” She encouraged fans to try what she called “the best hot sauce ever,” building excitement around the product. According to the brand’s website, Brooklyn’s goal with the new brand is to share his love for food and inspire customers to get creative in the kitchen. In an interview with Bon Appétit on September 25, Brooklyn revealed that he spent over two years developing the hot sauce recipe with Nicola’s unwavering support. “We made the sauce together in our kitchen, and it would get so spicy that the whole house smelled, and both of us had our eyes watering,” he recalled.
Brooklyn initially announced Cloud 23 on social media on September 24. However, some followers felt that the sleek packaging seemed more fitting for perfume or cosmetics than a food product. Despite some criticism, many fans praised the unique design.
Whole Foods Market holds the exclusive rights
Currently, Whole Foods Market holds the exclusive rights to sell Cloud 23. The sauce is available in pairs for $34.99 (about 850,000 VND), and the brand also offers branded merchandise like hats, T-shirts, hoodies, and cards.
At 25, Brooklyn Beckham has made a name for himself as a model, photographer, and budding restaurateur. He studied photography at Parsons School of Design in New York, launching his modeling career in 2014. Since then, he’s appeared in Vogue China, Miss Vogue, Interview Magazine, L’Uomo Vogue, The New York Times Style Magazine, and Dazed Korea.
Despite his passion for food, Brooklyn’s culinary skills have faced criticism. In October 2021, he appeared on the Today Show to demonstrate his English breakfast sandwich recipe, featuring bacon, sausage, and eggs. Many viewers criticized his scrambled eggs technique, with some calling his cooking skills “embarrassing” compared to other celebrity guests on the show.
A year later, TV host Ulrika Jonsson voiced her disapproval of Brooklyn’s appearance on James Corden’s The Late Late Show, a popular cooking segment in the U.S. She felt that Brooklyn’s spot on the show took away opportunities from professionally trained chefs who deserve the spotlight more than the Beckham family’s eldest son.
