Recently, Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, and his partner Lauren Sanchez have not organized their wedding, a reason believed to be related to a prenuptial agreement. The 60-year-old billionaire and his fiancée are expected to get engaged in May next year and host a lavish celebration on a yacht a few months later. With a fortune worth hundreds of billions of USD, Jeff Bezos is anticipated to have a grand wedding, especially since his future bride Lauren Sanchez is sporting a 30-carat diamond ring.
Despite the couple’s plans for a summer wedding, they have yet to officially tie the knot. A source revealed: “Jeff loves her so much that he could marry her tomorrow if he could, but I’ve heard they are sorting out the prenuptial agreement. His lawyers won’t let him get married without it.” Another source added: “You won’t find a couple who loves each other like that. If anything is delaying the wedding, it’s definitely not related to feelings.”
Another source shared: “People are wondering when the invitations will go out. Summer seems to be the most obvious time, but from now on, there will be the Oscars campaign and Thanksgiving, making it more difficult to gather all their celebrity friends. So, it’s a bit confusing why the wedding hasn’t taken place yet.”
Protecting the billionaire’s finances in case of a divorce is a significant undertaking. This agreement would cover both individuals’ assets, including cars and jewelry. Meanwhile, a representative for Lauren Sanchez stated, “There’s no story regarding a prenuptial agreement.”
Jeff Bezos and journalist Lauren Sanchez started dating in 2019 after both ended their marriages. The billionaire divorced MacKenzie Scott, his wife of 25 years with whom he has four children. In contrast, Lauren Sanchez previously had a relationship with her ex-husband Patrick Whitesell and another with former athlete Tony Gonzalez.
It seems that Jeff Bezos’ delay in marriage may not be a serious issue, but rather careful preparations to ensure everything goes smoothly for a grand wedding.
