Rihanna, constantly on the move with her adorable toddlers, has embraced an unconventional “winter body workout” routine, thanks to her sons, RZA and Riot Rose. Instead of gym equipment, she’s got her playful little ones to keep her active.
On October 30, the nine-time Grammy winner gave fans a peek behind the scenes of her recent holiday onesie collection shoot for Savage X Fenty, where she featured both RZA, 2, and Riot Rose, 14 months, her sons with A$AP Rocky. The video highlights Rihanna’s family moments as they showcase the new onesie line, with the trio appearing in matching outfits. Rihanna herself is dressed in a festive, navy-blue onesie, accessorized with hair rollers, giving off a cozy and laid-back vibe as she interacts with her kids. In the clip, she gently scoots over on her knees to bring RZA closer to the camera, highlighting their matching outfits. She even adds the onesie’s hood to RZA’s head, right before he walks off, showing his spirited personality. Next, it’s Riot’s turn for his moment in front of the camera, where he also sports a matching onesie, bonding with both his brother and superstar mom.
In less than 30 seconds, the video captures the trio’s playful dynamic. Alongside this video, Rihanna shared an Instagram post that same day, featuring professional shots from the shoot. She humorously captioned the post, “Yea I know! We are officially one of those families that match for the holidays,” adding that her “Forever Savage Onesies for the whole family” are now available on the Savage X Fenty website.
At her Savage X Fenty Lavish Lace Collection Preview event on October 10 in Los Angeles, Rihanna spoke to PEOPLE about her favorite go-to “mom uniform.” She shared that her priority is comfort, opting for outfits that are “stretchy, cozy, and easy to move in.” She explained that with a busy schedule as a mother of two, her wardrobe essentials are all about functionality. “Anything that’s stretchy, anything that’s easy to bend down and pick my kids up in. Those are the things I look for,” she said, adding that she avoids clothes that could irritate her or her children’s skin. “We’ve got a lot of work to do in a day in the life of a mom.”
Rihanna is also gearing up for Halloween in a relaxed style this year. During the Fenty x Puma Avanti launch event on October 24, she shared with Entertainment Tonight that family costumes weren’t in the cards. Instead, she chose a simple ghost costume for herself, explaining that she went for convenience. Though she didn’t reveal her sons’ costumes, she hinted that she used Amazon to prepare, joking that she’d be scrambling for alternatives if her order didn’t arrive on time. “If Amazon doesn’t deliver, I’m going to have to come up with something else,” she laughed.
While Rihanna is known for her unique, custom Halloween looks, this year Halloween “snuck up” on her, so she embraced the simplicity of a ready-made outfit instead.
