In the end, 21-year-old Staten Island native Miles Mitchell—dressed in full Willy Wonka purple and tossing candies to the crowd—won the crowd’s approval and walked away with a novelty check. “I’m both thrilled and overwhelmed,” Mitchell told the AP. “There were just so many look-alikes out there—it’s actually kind of humbling!”
