Britney Spears publicly criticized her parents in her latest Instagram post, expressing the pain that her family has caused her. The post came after she was ordered to pay $2 million in legal fees to her father to conclude the guardianship case.
On April 28, Britney Spears shared a photo showing her bare back along with a caption expressing the hurt inflicted by her family. She wrote: “I was really right about the nerve damage in my back. Now I have to get acupuncture every day for the rest of my life. If only people knew that I had to crawl to my front door once. Family hurts me! There has been no justice, and maybe there never will be.”
In the post, Britney referenced a group of anonymous individuals who did nothing while she was being abused, sarcastically commenting on being raised to distinguish right from wrong but being harmed by those who raised her. She implied her parents, Jamie and Lynne Spears.
The star of the hit “Gimme More” mentioned that she often has to confront her tormentors on Instagram because she does not feel safe meeting them in person. She also shared her longing for her home in Louisiana, expressing a desire to visit but feeling stripped of everything by her family.
After posting, Britney Spears deleted the post and locked her Instagram account, which had over 42 million followers.
Her emotional revelations occurred just after she resolved her guardianship case against her father. Her lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, stated, “Although the guardianship ended in November 2021, only now is her wish for freedom truly fulfilled.”
However, despite the lawyer’s claims, Britney is still required to pay her father’s legal bills, estimated at around $2 million. According to a source, she is unhappy with the ruling but is accepting it to “leave everything behind” and avoid further scrutiny.
In addition to her father’s legal fees, Britney Spears has spent over $4 million on top Hollywood attorney Rosengart since July 2021.
