Adam Azim Knocks Out Ohara Davies in the Eighth Round
Rising star Adam Azim continues his journey to the top of the lightweight boxing world with a knockout victory over Ohara Davies in London. The fight showcased the 22-year-old’s potential as he defeated a more experienced opponent. 
Davies, 33, reflected on his possible retirement after the fight, telling Sky Sports, “I’m still healthy and clear-minded. This might be my last fight, and I’m very happy to have faced Adam Azim.” 
With an undefeated record of 12 wins (9 by knockout), Azim not only made a strong impression but also raised expectations for his future career. In the fifth round, Azim dropped Davies to his knees with a body shot. By the eighth round, a powerful left punch to the head ended the match as Davies failed to get up before the referee’s count.

This fight marks a major step forward in Azim’s career as he faced a seasoned opponent 10 years his senior, who had previously fought top contenders like Josh Taylor and Jack Catterall. From the opening moments, Azim aggressively attacked with his powerful left hand, the same weapon that has helped him stop many opponents in his young career.
Though Davies remained determined and kept smiling throughout the match, Azim’s calm demeanor and smart strategy proved effective. He maintained control of the fight and knew when to unleash decisive blows.
A fight with fellow undefeated Brit Dalton Smith has long been anticipated, but Azim says he will wait for the right moment. “He’s rushing things. I’ll teach him a lesson when we face each other. It will be dangerous for him“, Azim confidently stated. Promoter Ben Shalom agreed, affirming that Azim is already the brightest name in the division in the UK, and a major fight will come at the right time.
